The CRITICAL RESEARCH SERVICE! was formed in response to an invitation to exhibit works at the Royal Academy of Artsas part of an event called Alternate Languages: Confronting Boundaries. The day combined a series of immersive spatial activations, artworks, performances, workshops and discussions to explore the relationship between art, architecture and the institution. We provided three situated ‘acts’ throughout the day to engage with the public and collectively explore the boundaries between: art and architecture, public and private, site and non-site, theory and practice.
